Responsibilities

  • Advise employers on labor relations, workforce management, and employment law matters
  • Counsel clients regarding union-related issues, employee relations concerns, and compliance obligations
  • Assist clients with labor strategy, collective workforce issues, and workplace policy development
  • Provide guidance regarding federal and state employment laws and regulations
  • Draft legal memoranda, policies, correspondence, and employment-related documents
  • Conduct legal research and prepare written analyses on complex workplace issues
  • Support employers in labor disputes, administrative matters, and employment-related proceedings
  • Participate in client meetings, training initiatives, and advisory projects
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships through responsive and practical legal counsel
  • Contribute to business development and client service initiatives

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 3 years of labor and employment law experience
  • Experience representing employers in labor relations and workplace matters
  • Knowledge of labor law, employment law, and workforce management principles
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and oral communication abilities
  • Strong drafting and legal research capabilities
  • Demonstrated ability to manage client relationships and provide practical advice
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, team-oriented environment

Requirements

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois or have the ability to waive in
  • Strong academic credentials
  • Experience advising management or employer clients
  • Ability to handle multiple matters and competing priorities
  • Strong client-service mindset and business judgment
  • Interest in long-term professional growth and practice development

Pay

$225,000 - $325,000 per year
