Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse - Days and Nights

About the role
We are seeking a Labor & Delivery RN to join our outstanding and compassionate team at Winter Haven Women's Hospital. This is a full-time, non-exempt position with day and night shift availability (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM or 6:45 PM – 7:15 AM). Weekend work is required every other weekend, and on-call duties are included.
Responsibilities
- Independently care for a group of patients using the nursing process and clinical standards in a hospital setting.
- Delegate appropriate patient care activities to other members of the health care team.
- Collaborate and communicate with interdisciplinary care providers to develop and assist in the plan of care.
- Organize, prioritize, and update the plan of care in collaboration with the patient, family, and significant others.
- Identify patients at risk for injury based on diagnosis, medication, procedure, age, etc., and prepare the room environment.
- Maintain professional accountability and development.
Requirements
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification.
- Associate’s degree in Nursing (Bachelor’s degree preferred).
- At least 6 months of RN Labor & Delivery experience (1 year strongly preferred).
