Labor and Delivery Registered Nurses

This is an onsite position based in Fairfield County, CT.

About the role

Provide skilled, compassionate care to patients throughout labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and comfortable working collaboratively within a fast-paced inpatient care team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess maternal and fetal status throughout labor and delivery
• Administer medications and manage IV therapies per physician orders
• Support patients and families through labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery
• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatric staff
• Document patient care accurately and timely within the EMR system
• Respond to obstetric emergencies and escalate care as needed

Requirements

• At least 2 years of L&D experience in an inpatient hospital setting; will consider 1 year of experience, or candidates 2-3 years removed from L&D who are looking to return
• ASN required; BSN or MSN preferred, and ASN-prepared candidates must obtain a BSN within 2 years of employment
• Active BLS certification
• Active Connecticut RN license or compact license
• Epic EMR experience preferred but not required
