The posted compensation range of $46.17 - $68.67 /hour is a reasonable estimate that extends from the lowest to the highest pay CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. About the Role
Located just off Highway 59 south, the 66-bed hospital in Livingston provides more than 60,000 patient services each year, with half of those services being offered in the Level 4 Trauma-Designated Emergency Department. Services offered include, Orthopedic care, Women’s Services, and a state-of-the-art Sleep Center. Imaging services include MRI, CT scan, nuclear medicine scans, 4D Ultrasound, cardiac echocardiograms, fluoroscopy, bone density scanning and 3D mammography.
Responsibilities
- Support and actualizes the Division of Nursing philosophy and goals by assuming leadership in program development and implementation.
- Staff is developed to assume leadership roles both formally and informally, via role modeling and facilitating staff participation in shared governance structure.
- Facilitates development and implementation to solution to problems.
- Develops and Implements effective communication channels to provide information to all staff members, holding at least one unit meeting per month with posting of minutes and notice.
- Directs and Participates in the orientation of new employees, evaluates programs effecting employees.
- Has an identified council structure with an elected Staff Nurse Professional Practice Council representative. Conducts unit council meetings monthly incorporating new knowledge and skills to meet changing needs of patient families, department employees and institution.
Requirements
- Bachelors degree and 3 years leadership experience, upon hire or
- Masters Other, upon hire and
- Registered Nurse: TX, upon hire
- Basic Life Support - CPR, within 14 - days and
- Neonatal Resuscitation Program, within 6 - months and
- Stable Program, within 6 - months
