Job Summary
Manage and lead a Labor & Delivery unit during the day shift. Eligible external candidates may receive a hiring bonus and relocation support.
Leadership Responsibilities
- Collaborate with L&D and Women & Children leadership teams.
- Share responsibility for quality, staffing, finance, and patient/caregiver experience.
- Report directly to the Senior L&D Manager.
- Work closely with the Senior Manager and Clinical Supervisor to oversee department operations.
Key Priorities
- Support Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives (e.g., TEAM Birth, Doula, and Cultural Navigator programs).
- Focus on quality metrics such as NTSV, working with RN teams for improvement.
- Partner with CNS, Perinatal Educator, and staff to implement evidence-based practices.
Must-Haves
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) from an accredited school, or commitment to obtain within 2 years.
- Active Washington RN License (upon hire).
- BLS Certification from the American Heart Association (upon hire).
- Minimum 5 years of Labor & Delivery (L&D) experience.
- Certifications: NRP, ACLS, BLS, AWHONN Fetal Monitoring.
- At least 3 years of recent Labor & Delivery nursing experience.
- Leadership experience in nursing.
- Strong understanding of OR processes and L&D protocols.
- Active, unrestricted nursing license (no hits or restrictions).
Nice-to-Haves
- Master's Degree in Nursing or a related field.
- At least 1 year of first-line management experience.
- Experience in other nursing areas such as ICU.
- 10+ years of nursing experience.
