Lab Technologist III

About the role

Our client, a growing contract research organization specializing in drug discovery services, is seeking a Lab Technician III to support their screening and compound management team. This role provides hands-on laboratory support across early-stage drug discovery, including high-throughput screening, target identification, and lead optimization work, contributing to projects that span the full preclinical discovery pipeline. The successful candidate will support day-to-day operations of a screening and compound management group, working in an SOP-driven environment to generate compound plates and test client samples using cell-based assay platforms.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine screening using cell-based assay platforms (e.g., beta-arrestin recruitment assays, cAMP assays, no-wash calcium assays, and other assay types based on training)
• Generate, barcode, and register client compound plates
• Assist with scheduled screening panels and cross-functional team projects
• Analyze assay data using proprietary/internal software systems
• Complete documentation and data entry into electronic laboratory information management systems (eLIMS)
• Manage inventory of lab reagents and consumables
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Prior hands-on experience with cell-based assay techniques strongly preferred
• Comfort working in a fast-paced, SOP-driven laboratory environment
• Strong attention to detail for compound tracking, barcoding, and data documentation
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team on scheduled projects and panels

Type: 3-month Contract Part Time | Location: Fremont, CA | Compensation: $35-$36/hour
