About the role

Join our Laboratory team to be an integral part of delivering precise and reliable laboratory results that impact patient outcomes positively. Current Weekend Rotation - Every 5th Saturday 8am - 1pm, but can change with needs.

Responsibilities

  • Patient sample collections: venipuncture skills or willing to learn
  • The regular lab tech duties: Sample Testing, Equipment Operation, Quality Control, Result Reporting
  • Reports and maintains record of patient test results through the laboratory computer system accurately, meeting published turn around times for routine testing and stats.
  • Documents patient test management problems/concerns on quality documents and initiates corrective action.
  • Operates all instrumentation in assigned areas to deliver precise, timely, and accurate laboratory results.
  • Performs laboratory procedures for specimen collection, processing, test analysis.
  • Performs quality controls for all equipment and troubleshoots malfunctioning instrumentation as necessary.
  • Maintains quality control performance and corrects any problems and or reports any problems to the appropriate department.
  • Affords technical and or instrument problems, including quality control and abnormal findings, evaluate possible solutions and chooses an appropriate course of action to solve the problem.
  • Trains new personnel in methods, procedures and use of equipment and instruments specific to the assigned area.

Requirements

  • Accepting MLT or MLS ASCP Candidates

Qualifications

  • Education: Associate's Degree
  • Physical/Life Science/related Experience: 2-5 years
  • Licenses & Certifications: MLT-ASCP or equiv

Skills

  • Knowledge of quality control, basic instrument maintenance, and procedure methodologies and reference ranges
  • Good laboratory practice
  • Ability to train new personnel

Pay

$7,500 SIGN ON BONUS for ASCP Credentialed Candidates

Schedule

Monday - Friday & Every 5th Weekend

Hours: 6:00am - 6:00pm

Current Weekend Rotation: Every 5th Saturday 8am - 1pm, but can change with needs.
