Medical Technologist III

The Medical Laboratory Scientist III performs routine and specialized diagnostic tests using advanced equipment and computer systems. Responsibilities include evaluating and reporting patient results with independence, conducting quality control, maintaining laboratory operations, and developing new procedures and instrumentation. They lead major projects related to performance improvement, safety, instrumentation, and regulatory compliance. The role involves training new staff, reviewing reports and procedures, overseeing documentation, and serving as a technical resource and mentor. Key qualifications include a Bachelor's Degree in Medical Technology, Life Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or related field, with 3+ years of clinical experience in moderate/high complexity testing and leadership experience preferred. Certifications from ASCP or equivalent are required.
