Lab Technician, Welding Technology Student Worker (Part-time, Temporary)

Responsibilities

• Prepares equipment for laboratory use
• Maintains an accurate inventory of equipment and supplies
• Aids students in labs with understanding the objectives of the laboratory
• Aids students in developing troubleshooting skills
• Aids with preparing and setting up equipment and parts needed to conduct laboratory assignments
• Aids instructors as needed with lab equipment
• Aids with lab safety and procedures
• Confers with instructors to determine supply and equipment needs
• Performs maintenance of laboratory equipment and supplies

Requirements

• Current Wake Tech Student enrolled in Welding Technology Program
• One year of experience in welding, or an equivalent combination of education and experience

Preferences

• Knowledge of basic hand tools and power tools, including machine tools
• Knowledge of lab safety procedures and processes
