Part-time Welding Lab Coordinator
This position is a part-time, temporary position filled each semester on an as-needed basis. This posting will stay open continuously in order to build a pool of qualified candidates for future openings as lab coordinators. Applicants will not be notified unless there is an actual need to fill the position.
Responsibilities
- Assisting Program Chair or Adjunct Faculty in answering questions from students regarding lab projects
- Teaching demonstrations
- Performing minor repairs on equipment
- Preparing equipment and materials for labs
- Maintaining tool room
Requirements
- High school diploma required
- Two years of welding experience
- Mechanical aptitude
- Good communication skills
- Able to work independently
- Able to lift 50 pounds
Qualifications
- Technical Certificate and two years on-the-job training as a preferred
