Lab Coordinator - Part Time
Job Summary
Oversee the use, inventory, and maintenance of all nursing skills laboratory equipment and supplies; develop inventory control procedures and recommend purchases. Ensure the lab environment is safe, clean, and orderly; and report major repair needs. Prepare and maintain records and surveys related to laboratory operations. Work closely with nursing faculty to align lab activities with curriculum goals. Set up and maintain simulation mannequins, skills demonstrations, and manage drug dispensing cabinets and mannequins. Proctor exams and lab skills check-offs when needed. Participate in faculty meetings, site visits, and committees to evaluate and improve the nursing program. Provide open lab and lab skills instruction when needed. Lecture instruction when needed.
Knowledge, Skills And Experience
- Active Registered Nursing License with the state of Ohio
- 2 years of full-time work as a Registered Nurse
- MSN preferred
- Working knowledge of computer software (email, Microsoft Word, etc.)
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and student success
- Commitment to continuous curriculum enhancement and application of best practices
- Strong team player and ability to have flexible working hours
- Ability to make meaningful and positive connections with diverse student body in a career college environment
