Lab Technician I (Exp with the Instron Software programs Blue-Hill 3 or Blue-Hill)

About the role

The position is for a Lab Technician I who will support test lab daily activities, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. Reporting to a supervisor/manager, this role involves executing minimally complex test requests, developing lab testing, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and supporting equipment qualification and TMV’s development.

Responsibilities

• Executes minimally complex test requests with moderate assistance.
• Develops on all lab testing.
• Handles minimally complex problems with moderate supervisor assistance.
• Works with moderate oversight/supervision to complete minimally complex projects.
• Supports equipment qualification (IQ, OQ) and TMV’s development.
• Supports TMD and Ver/Val teams.
• Troubleshoots to a solution inconsistency on test needs/requests with requestor.
• Responsible for maintaining good documentation practice (GDP), good laboratory practices (GLP) and supports compliance with GLP.
• Supports efforts to create tools for process simplification of testing lab operation.

Requirements

• Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree and minimum of 0 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting, or
• Associates in Applied Science (AAS) and minimum of 0 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting, or
• High School Diploma and minimum of 4 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting.

Skills

• Operate and troubleshoot mechanical test equipment in the lab.
• Preferred skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, TEAMs.

Physical Demands

Standing while performing tasks. Able to lift 50Lbs.

Work Environment

Laboratory environment using personal protective equipment (PPE), where may encounter/use chemical or human body fluid for testing.
