About the role
The position is for a Lab Technician I who will support test lab daily activities, equipment qualification, test method validation (TMV) development, and lab engineering projects. Reporting to a supervisor/manager, this role involves executing minimally complex test requests, developing lab testing, troubleshooting inconsistencies, and supporting equipment qualification and TMV’s development.
Responsibilities
- Executes minimally complex test requests with moderate assistance.
- Develops on all lab testing.
- Handles minimally complex problems with moderate supervisor assistance.
- Works with moderate oversight/supervision to complete minimally complex projects.
- Supports equipment qualification (IQ, OQ) and TMV’s development.
- Supports TMD and Ver/Val teams.
- Troubleshoots to a solution inconsistency on test needs/requests with requestor.
- Responsible for maintaining good documentation practice (GDP), good laboratory practices (GLP) and supports compliance with GLP.
- Supports efforts to create tools for process simplification of testing lab operation.
Requirements
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree and minimum of 0 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting, or
- Associates in Applied Science (AAS) and minimum of 0 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting, or
- High School Diploma and minimum of 4 years of experience in a regulated industry / laboratory setting.

- Developing technical writing skills.
- Developing root cause analysis techniques.
Skills
- Operate and troubleshoot mechanical test equipment in the lab.
- Preferred skills: MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, Outlook, TEAMs.
Physical Demands
Standing while performing tasks. Able to lift 50Lbs.
Work Environment
Laboratory environment using personal protective equipment (PPE), where may encounter/use chemical or human body fluid for testing.
