Lab Technician – HACCP & Food Safety

Responsibilities
- Maintain the LCOP (Listeria Control Program) by performing weekly Listeria swabbing of selected areas
- Maintain the Pre-Operational environmental swabbing and testing program by performing weekly swabbing of selected areas
- Maintain the environmental air monitoring program by performing weekly swabbing of selected areas
- Maintain the process water monitor program
- Implement Micro Corrective Action when results exceed limits
- Complete testing on all finished product during scheduled operating hours
- Maintain the QPT (Quarterly USDA Pathogen Testing Program) by sending out finished product samples to a contract laboratory
- Complete validation, calibration, temperature monitoring, and cleaning of all Micro Lab equipment
- Maintain COA (Certificate of Acceptance), COC (Certificates of Compliance), and COG (Certificates of Guarantee) under the Micro Lab’s document control program
- Document all test results by recording them into the company shared document files
- Maintain a clean and safe work environment
- Manage the Micro Lab inventory and report when supplies are needed
Qualifications
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be able to complete training course and acquire HAACP certification within 6 months of hire/transfer
- Must have a firm knowledge of quality assurance methods, product testing methods, standard measurements, regulatory compliance standards, and documentation procedures
- Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs
- Must adhere to all company policies and regulatory guidelines
- Must be able to accept direction from Supervisors and Managers
- Must be able to interact with others in a respectful manner
- Must be able to work in a team-oriented environment
- Must demonstrate a math aptitude
- Must be able to read and write in the English Language

Pay
The pay range for this role is $22.50 - $26.00 (Annual). Actual wage will vary based on several factors, including but not limited to external market data, internal equity, location, and candidate skill set and experience.
