About the role
This entry-level lab technician position works the 3rd shift on-site in Ankeny, IA, under a contract arrangement.
Responsibilities
- support daily activities in the laboratory by leading general operations, housekeeping, orderliness, and cleanliness of the workspace
- receiving and labeling of incoming samples
- maintaining and receiving sufficient labware inventory
- preparing buffers and reagents
- troubleshooting and operating equipment needed for genotyping production
- reviewing and archiving task-related documents
Requirements
- understanding and following Employee Safety and Health (ESH) guidelines
- following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs)
- following workflow guidelines
- maintaining a safe work environment
Skills
- capable of managing multiple tasks
- working effectively with more than one supervisor
- interfacing with other functions such as manufacturing and research personnel
Pay
19-23/hr depending on exp
