The cooperative is seeking a regular, full‑time Lab Technician for the 3rd shift (11 pm – 7 am), with training on the 2nd shift (3 pm – 11 pm).
Pay
Starting pay range: $27.74 – $29.86 per hour. Includes a 10 % shift differential for 3rd‑shift work. Wage increases are available during the first 24 months.
Schedule
3rd shift: 11 pm – 7 am. Training period on 2nd shift: 3 pm – 11 pm. Flexibility required – willingness to work overtime, weekends, holidays, and rotate shifts as business needs dictate.
Responsibilities
- Product testing
- Ingredient screening
- Sanitation monitoring
- Loss‑control prevention
- QA/QC of equipment
- Record keeping and report generation
- Communication of quality standards
- Direction of blending/standardizing operations
Requirements
- Education in Food Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent experience
- Lab experience preferred
Physical Requirements
- Mostly standing and sitting, with some walking, bending, and occasional climbing (multiple flights of stairs)
- Ability to lift up to 25 lb occasionally during a shift
