Lab Technician
Essential Functions
- Oversight of the School of Architecture and Design’s labs to ensure a safe and inclusive learning environment.
- Provide continued support for students and faculty working on design prototyping and applied research.
- Intervene when unsafe practices are observed and report incidents as required.
Qualifications
- Excellent written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively as part of a cross-functional team.
- Demonstrated commitment to fostering a safe, inclusive, and collaborative learning environment.
- Practical experience with: physical model-making and rapid prototyping using both digital and traditional fabrication tools and methods, foundational woodworking, additive manufacturing technologies [e.g. FDM, SLA, and LDM] and associated equipment operation.
Position Details
The job grade for this position is Grade 4 (N). The expected hourly rate for this position is between $27.18- $32.82 which reflects what we reasonably expect to pay for this role. At this time, the university is unable to sponsor applicants for H-1B visas.
