Lab Technician

About the role

The Lab Technician position at Baylor Scott & White Orthopedic and Spine Hospital – Arlington involves performing laboratory technical procedures according to established protocols, adhering to regulatory standards, and assisting with patient care.

Responsibilities

- Collects blood from patients; checks quality of blood/specimens; assumes responsibility for the safety and comfort of the patient. - Performs clerical functions such as answering phones and charting of lab results. - Responsible for specified computer and department maintenance as required. - Must be detail-oriented; organized; people-oriented. - Must be able to chart, file, and have working knowledge of all computer systems used within the clinical laboratory.

Requirements

- High School diploma or equivalent - 60 college hours or two years laboratory experience - Knowledge of governmental and regulating policies/standards. - Basic computer skills. - Ability to detect color and color changes.

- Monday through Friday, 11 AM to 7 PM. Every 4th Saturday
