Lab Technician

About the role
SKF Aerospace is a first-tier supplier to the global aviation industry, designing and manufacturing high-performance, high-value bearings in steel and advanced ceramics. This role supports leading aircraft jet engine and gearbox manufacturers at our Falconer, NY location.
Responsibilities
- Perform metallurgical analysis, including cleanliness rating, carbide rating, grain size rating, retained austenite measurement, residual stress measurement, hardness measurement, and macro and micro etch.
- Develop computer programs to improve lab efficiency using MS PowerPoint, Word, Excel, and Visual Basic.
- Maintain lab cleanliness, reorder supplies, and manage lab samples and records.
Requirements
- Minimum of an Associate Degree or equivalent experience in a technical field (courses in chemistry, metallurgy, and heat treatment preferred).
- Two to three years of experience in engineering or a manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

$55,000.00 to $62,000.00 per year.
