Lab Technician

Key Responsibilities

• Collect product and process samples in accordance with plant quality procedures.
• Perform routine laboratory testing to verify product quality and support specification compliance.
• Record, review, and communicate test results accurately and in a timely manner.
• Maintain laboratory equipment, testing supplies, and a clean, organized work area.
• Support troubleshooting by identifying unusual results, trends, or potential process issues.
• Work closely with operations and maintenance personnel to support safe, efficient plant performance.
• Follow all safety, environmental, and quality requirements at all times.
• Absorb and assist with documentation, shift records, and other plant reporting as needed.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
• An associate degree or technical training in chemistry, laboratory science, or a related field is preferred.
• Experience in an industrial laboratory, manufacturing environment, mining, lime, cement, aggregates, or related process industry is preferred.
• The ability to follow standardized testing procedures and maintain accurate records is essential.
• A strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and commitment to quality are required.
• Basic computer skills for entering data, completing reports, and using plant systems are necessary.
• The ability to communicate clearly and work effectively with cross-functional plant teams is important.
• An understanding of safe work practices in an industrial environment is required.
