Lab Technician

About the role

Fertility Specialists of Texas (FST) is seeking a Lab Technician to join our Andrology and Endocrinology team full-time at our Plano, TX location. This role involves preparing semen samples for male fertility diagnosis and IVF treatment, conducting hormone assays, and executing complex technical procedures.

Responsibilities

• Perform semen analyses and sperm preparation for IUI and IVF/ICSI procedures
• Conduct endocrinology testing
• Manage reagents and inventory to ensure smooth lab operations
• Carry out calibration, calibration verification, and linearity testing for the immunoanalyzer
• Input control data into Biorad's Unitycare/QCNet and generate monthly control reports
• Perform cryopreservation and thawing of sperm samples
• Cook off and receive cryopreserved specimens
• Maintain rigorous daily, weekly, and monthly quality control standards across both labs
• Work closely with the laboratory director and manager to uphold quality standards
• Greet and room patients, communicate results as directed, and flag any abnormal parameters to the physician or laboratory director promptly

Schedule

8-hour shifts between the hours of 6:00am - 4:00pm Monday through Friday, with rotating weekends (every 3rd Saturday & Sunday) and holidays.
