Responsibilities
- Test pumps and pump components in accordance with the lab schedule
- Plumb and wire pumps for testing
- Operate test equipment
- Tabulate/report test results
- Fabricate components and fixtures for testing
- Analyze test results
- Tear down and rebuild pumps
- Evaluate and troubleshoot pumps
- Utilize basic MS Office applications
- Follow work instructions and create new instructions where none exist
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED equivalent
- Three to five years related experience or two-year associate degree in related field plus one to three years related experience
- Good mechanical and electrical aptitude
- Understanding of AC and DC power systems, electrical schematics, and ladder logic
- Machinist skills preferred
- Familiarity with pumps and pump systems
- Good written and oral communication skills
- Experience with Microsoft Office applications
- Lifting up to 25 pounds frequently, up to 50 pounds about 2/3 of the time, and up to 100 pounds up to 1/3 of the time
- Must reach, stoop, kneel, crawl, climb, and balance
