Lab Technician

About the Role

We are immediately looking for a qualified Lab Technician for one of our clients, a well-established Chemical Manufacturing facility. This position will be responsible for conducting analytical testing on compounds and raw materials. The Analyst will compile and summarize the results into clear reports. Calibration of analytical equipment will also be required of the incumbent. PPE includes gloves, lab coats, glasses, goggles.

Daily Activities

• Perform tests on samples of raw materials and finished products using a full range of analytical equipment.
• Record data and summarize it to be presented to the proper personnel.
• Prepare and install LC and GC columns.
• Conduct special testing and analysis in conjunction with new product development, trouble-shooting of complaint samples, and investigation/analysis of off-spec products and raw materials.
• Collect, record, analyze, and maintain environmental and industrial hygiene samples.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Chemistry or equivalent preferred; Associate’s Degree in Chemistry or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Good computer skills (MS Office and MS Outlook) with SAP working knowledge preferred.
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, communication, and collaborative skills.
• Demonstrated sound decision-making, problem-solving, and ability to react quickly under pressure.
