Lab Technician

Responsibilities

• Compound lab samples and ingredients per instruction of the Lab Manager to fulfill Raw Materials needs and client projects.
• Test raw materials and bulk finished raw materials.
• Organize and maintain laboratory retains, sampling, equipment, and products library (Corp #, Lot Code, Retains, Samples, etc.).
• Manage up-to-date raw materials and solution inventory in individual workstation.
• Apply technical knowledge of liquid compounding, including raw materials handling, use, and storage.
• Understand lab formulation procedures and compounding.
• Send samples out for testing and possess knowledge of product testing as required.
• Maintain general laboratory housekeeping to ensure a neat and clean environment for frequent client visits.
• Work in a team environment and tender overtime without hesitation when required.
• Follow safety protocols in the lab environment and understand SDS requirements.
• Perform essential functions such as lifting, bending, reaching, and lifting up to 5-gallon containers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree preferred; High School Diploma required.
• 5 years of laboratory experience (Required).
• 2 years or more of experience as a Cosmetic and Raw Materials Laboratory Technician (Required).
• 2 years of related laboratory experience.
• Industry experience preferred.
• General computer skills (Microsoft Office, Lotus Notes).
