Lab Technician 1 - Grave A

About the role

This position is responsible for grading the finished product for all lines and communicating out of grade situations to Team Leader. Perform dispositions of out of grade product.

Responsibilities

• Follows all plant safety policies and procedures
• Actively involved in safety, participates in safety programs, engaged in safety activities, performs risk assessments, and demonstrates ownership as well as leadership in personal safety and the safety of other team members
• Trains back-ups and new lab techs
• Preforms daily filing and review of Q.A. data
• Performs any special projects assigned
• Maintains a neat and clean work area and exhibit good personal hygiene
• Acts as a team player, be organized, and plan

Qualifications & Experience Requirements

• Sanitation qualification is required. If you are not qualified, you will be trained.
• Able to accurately use the following equipment, and/or tools, including but not limited to: blender, weighing apparatus, pipettes, grinder, fryers, microwave, length grader, thermometer, dicromat, Minolta, Agtron, silver nitrate, and NIR.
• Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
• Read, understand, and obey all plant rules and practice safety as outlined in the employee handbook.
• Practice proper body mechanics and safe lifting techniques.
• Be knowledgeable of the potential hazards and safety procedures associated with the task being performed.
• Actively practice and abide by all Company work, safety, and personal hygiene rules and regulations as outlined in the employee handbook.

Education

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED) preferred.

Actual compensation may be higher or lower in the range based on various factors, including, but not limited to a candidate's work location, job duties, experience and expertise. A reasonable hourly estimate for this role is listed below.
