Lab Tech Assistant - Outpatient Laboratory

About the role

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards. Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with clinical and non-clinical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/technician to ensure accurate, reliable laboratory results.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant required. Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may substitute for experience.
