Lab Tech Assistant

About the role

Performs sample processing and exempt screening and monitoring tests in accordance with CMS (CLIA '88), OSHA, and other applicable regulatory standards. Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies and procedures. Assists with clinical and non-clinical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/technician to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory results.

• Performs venipunctures and obtains/prepares blood specimens following Piedmont policies and procedures.
• Assists with clinical and non-clinical tasks under the direct supervision of a licensed medical technologist/technician to ensure accurate and reliable laboratory results.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) required.
• 1 year of experience as a phlebotomist, laboratory processor, or laboratory assistant required. Current enrollment in a Medical Technologist or Medical Laboratory Technician program may substitute for experience.
