Lab Support Technician I (Non-Exempt)

The Lab Support Technician I provides essential support within the laboratory, handling report, data, and scheduling functions to ensure accurate and timely laboratory operations. Responsibilities include collecting and processing laboratory specimens safely and professionallytransporting and referring specimens and reports as neededdelivering excellent customer service to internal and external clients in line with service standardsobserving HIPAA confidentiality and lab policiescompleting departmental checklists to demonstrate competencysupporting the provider care team and contributing to a positive team environment Qualifications include a high school diploma or G.E.D., with preferred college-level science courseworksuccessful completion of probationary periodabsence of active disciplinary actionsexperience in a clinical laboratory is preferred Skills required are attention to detail, professionalism, excellent communication, and customer service skills.
