Medical Lab Technician I (Non-Exempt)

About the role

Mercy is seeking a Medical Lab Technician to join our team at Berryville Hospital. This position requires 1 year of acceptable clinical laboratory experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine and complex laboratory tests using specialized equipment
• Ensure accuracy and timely completion of all tests
• Adhere to infection control protocols
• Communicate effectively with physicians and other healthcare providers
• May assist in training new lab staff

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a major that meets an accreditation agency’s requirements
• Current certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT)
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
