Lab Supervisor - Contaminants

About the role

Eurofins Food Chemistry Madison is growing and we're seeking talented individuals to join our dynamic team. We operate from a newly built ISO 17025 accredited laboratory in Madison, WI, specializing in food chemistry testing for infant formula, sole-source nutrition products, hemp and CBD, dietary supplements, and various botanicals. Our testing covers vitamins, minerals, contaminants, pesticides, and shelf-life studies using UPLC, HPLC, GC, and LCMS technologies. We offer a collaborative and innovative environment where you can develop expertise on advanced analytical instruments.

Responsibilities

• Schedule staff and assign resources
• Identify resource needs and coordinate installation and maintenance of laboratory equipment and space
• Review data and prepare technical reports for clients
• Develop training plans and ensure staff are trained
• Assure staff compliance to SOPs and regulatory agency guidelines
• Perform general human resources responsibilities, including recruitment activities, performance evaluations, and progressive discipline
• Conduct activities in a safe and efficient manner

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Science or equivalent
• 2+ years related experience and 1+ years of leadership experience
• Knowledge of relevant regulatory agency guidelines
• Working knowledge of laboratory operations and computer systems
• Strong organizational and communication skills
• Ability to learn new tasks and solve problems quickly
