About the Role

The Laboratory Supervisor oversees daily laboratory operations, ensuring accurate and timely test results. Responsibilities include supervising, training, and mentoring staff, monitoring workflow, maintaining equipment, and ensuring compliance with regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory staff
• Monitor workflow and maintain equipment
• Ensure compliance with CLIA, CAP, and other regulations
• Manage staffing and address production errors
• Implement process improvements and maintain quality assurance documentation
• Perform technical bench work as needed
• Handle administrative tasks such as payroll and policy management

Requirements

• Associate’s degree in a science field
• 4+ years of clinical laboratory testing experience
• Chemistry Supervisor State License

Qualifications (Preferred)

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field
• 6+ months of supervisory experience
• Certifications such as ASCP or AMT

Skills

• Strong knowledge of laboratory operations and workflow
• Proficiency with CLIA and CAP regulations
• Experience with laboratory information systems
