About the role
Laboratory Supervisor responsible for overseeing all laboratory operations, including pre‑analytical and analytical processes.
Responsibilities
- Ensure accurate and timely performance of laboratory tests and reporting of results.
- Supervise, train, and mentor laboratory personnel.
- Manage daily workflow, staffing, and assay coverage across shifts.
- Research and resolve production errors, escalating issues as needed.
- Implement continuous process improvements and maintain equipment through Quality Control.
- Prepare and manage Quality Assurance documentation.
- Evaluate process improvements and provide coaching to staff.
- Perform technical bench work to maintain proficiency.
- Ensure compliance with regulations and company policies.
- Administer policies, process payroll, and handle administrative tasks.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a Chemical or Biological Science, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.
- At least 4 years of experience as a Clinical Lab Scientist/Technologist with generalist skills.
- Leadership experience (preferred).
- Proficiency in Chemistry, Hematology, and Urinalysis (preferred).
- Certifications such as ASCP or AMT (preferred).
- Strong knowledge of CLIA, CAP, and state regulations.
- Ability to pass a color‑blindness test.
