Lab Services Team Lead - Chemistry

Role Overview: The Clinical Laboratory Team Leader oversees the Chemistry department's daily operations, ensuring quality patient care and laboratory efficiency. Key Responsibilities Assist with departmental management, including operational oversight and report generation for management review.Train new staff and develop current team members' skills and competencies.Monitor and troubleshoot laboratory instrumentation to maintain proper functionality.Evaluate specimen acceptability and perform routine and complex technical procedures. Qualifications & Skills Associate's degree in Chemical, Biological sciences, Clinical Laboratory Science, or Medical Technology.At least 4 years of experience as a Laboratory Technologist or Technician.Proficiency in Laboratory Information Systems and Microsoft Office.Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.Ability to pass a standardized color blindness test.ASCP and/or AMT certifications are preferred.Leadership or supervisory experience of 2+ years is preferred.
