Lab Sample Coordinator, Early Phase Clinical Research – Dallas, TX

What You’ll Do

  • Preparing, labeling, storing, packing, and shipping samples to external labs.
  • Learning and following international shipping regulations for biohazardous materials.
  • Completing all required documentation and tracking PK sample shipments.
  • Organizing dispatch schedules and communicating timelines.
  • Sets up and labels specimen containers.
  • Collects approved body substances (e.g., blood, saliva, urine) using proper precautions.
  • Operates and maintains centrifuges and other lab equipment.
  • Maintains monitoring temperatures, organizes storage space, and achieves samples.
  • Supports routine equipment cleaning, calibration, and basic lab procedures.

What You Bring

  • A high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Shipping and/or warehouse experience or logistics (preferred).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, regulated clinical environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and teamwork skills.

Work Environment

  • Work is performed in a laboratory and/or a clinical environment with exposure to electrical office equipment.
  • Occasional drives to site locations, occasional domestic travel.
  • Exposure to biological fluids.
  • Personal protective equipment required such as protective eyewear, garments, and gloves.

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to work in an upright and/or stationary position for 6-8 hours per day.
  • Repetitive hand movement of both hands with the ability to make fast, simple, repeated movements of the fingers, hands, and wrists to operate lab equipment.
  • Frequent bending and twisting of upper body and neck.
  • Ability to access and use a variety of computer software developed both in-house and off-the-shelf.
  • Light to moderate lifting and carrying (or otherwise moves) objects including luggage and laptop computer with a maximum lift of 15-20 lbs.
  • Regular and consistent attendance.
  • Variable hours may be required.
