Responsibilities
- Collecting, receiving and processing of inpatient and outpatient specimens for testing
- Communications with nursing regarding patient specimens
- Referring specimens to outside laboratories
- Interaction with physicians, clients and staff regarding referral lab tests
- Performing phlebotomy procedures
- Performing other duties as assigned
Requirements
- Driver's License in the State of Florida Required
- Credentials: ASPT (Phlebotomy Technicians), ASCP, AMT (Medical Technologists), Paramedic, EMT (Emergency), Medical Technologist, Medical Technologist Eligible to obtain, LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) in the State of Florida, RN (Registered Nurse) in the State of Florida
- Education: High School or equivalent
- Experience: 6 months in phlebotomy and 6 months BayCare related - Required, 1 year of phlebotomy - Preferred
Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
