Lab Courier PartTime

Part-time position with weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday, 3:00 PM to 11:30 PM) plus one four-hour afternoon shift during the week.

About the workplace

Corewell Health William Beaumont University Hospital opened on January 24, 1955 as a 238-bed community hospital. Today, it is a 1,101-bed major academic and referral center with Level I adult trauma and Level II pediatric trauma designations. The hospital hosts 43 residency and fellowship programs with 454 residents and fellows, and serves as the exclusive clinical partner of the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine, with over 1,400 Beaumont doctors on faculty.

Responsibilities

• Accurately sort and distribute client reports and supplies.
• Promptly pick up client specimens.
• Respond to requests for stat service.
• Provide responsive and courteous service to Beaumont Laboratory client needs.
• Use handheld devices to record all pick-up and delivery transactions.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or equivalent (required).
• Courier experience (required).
• Valid Michigan Driver’s License (required upon hire).
