About the role
Lab Chemist responsible for sample preparation and analysis to determine chemical and physical properties, supporting chemical disposal operations.
Responsibilities
- Ensuring health and safety compliance
- Maintaining a safe work environment in accordance with OSHA and company protocols
- Performing sample analysis following prescribed procedures
- Calibrating and operating instrumentation
- Maintaining equipment
- Completing accurate documentation
- Adhering to QA/QC guidelines
- Managing supplies
- Properly handling waste generated during analysis
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in chemistry or physical science
- 1-5 years of hands-on laboratory experience in wet chemistry methods
- Experience with chromatography, spectroscopy, and titrations is preferred
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
