Lab Associate I - PRN

Additional Information About The Role Alton Memorial Hospital has a PRN Lab Associate I opportunity. Looking for a lab tech with phlebotomy experience to work in a hospital setting. PRN (as-needed) team members are expected to work on an as-needed basis.Must be available to work a minimum of four (4) shifts within an eight-week period.Must work at least one (1) weekend shift during each six-week scheduling period.Must work a minimum of one (1) recognized holiday per calendar year. Preferred Qualifications Role Purpose Performs non-blood and blood specimen collection, specimen handling/routine processing and clerical duties associated with specimen collection. Responsibilities Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
