About the Role

Granules Pharmaceuticals Inc. (GPI), a subsidiary of Granules India LTD, is a rapidly growing generic pharma company with sites in Chantilly and Manassas, Virginia. We specialize in R&D, manufacturing, and packaging of medicines, including pulsatile drug release, modified release tablets, suspensions, and controlled substances with abuse-deterrent technology. This role supports laboratory operations by maintaining cleanliness, assisting with experiments, and ensuring compliance with cGMP standards.

Responsibilities

  • Clean and appropriately store all laboratory glassware in a timely manner.
  • Maintain good housekeeping in the laboratory, ensuring compliance with cGMP for cleaning and storage.
  • Assist chemists in preparing media and test solutions.
  • Order and receive chemicals and reagents, labeling them with date received and expiration date, and storing them properly.
  • Perform calibration of balances and pH meters.
  • Pack and ship samples to external laboratories for analytical testing.
  • Receive samples, log sample information, assign AR numbers, and submit for testing.
  • Store samples according to material requirements.
  • Dispose of waste, including liquid and hazardous waste, following department procedures.
  • Assist in the stability program, including labeling, placing, and pulling samples from chambers, and monitoring stability chambers.
  • Follow all SOPs and safety guidelines to ensure compliance with cGMP and safety practices.
  • Complete additional assignments as allocated by a supervisor or department head.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 0-3 years’ experience.
  • High school diploma, Associate Degree, or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry or Life Sciences.

Preferred Skills

  • Ability to follow written standard operating procedures and maintain good documentation practices.
  • Strong communication skills, including clear speaking, active listening, and effective writing.
  • Proficiency with computers and software applications.
  • Previous laboratory experience is a plus.

Physical Conditions

  • Minimum physical effort required.
  • Ability to occasionally lift/move items weighing up to 20 pounds.

Pay

Actual compensation is determined based on relevant experience, qualifications, skills, and internal equity.
