Lab Assistant II Full Time Evening Shift Job ID: 1631244

Position Summary

We are North Medical Center, offering continuous nursing, medical, and other health and social services on a 24-hour basis, under physician directed care and RN supervision. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor the cardiac/telemetry units by appropriate documentation, communication, and maintaining an organized telemetry station.
• Perform routine technical and clerical functions including specimen registration and billing.
• Perform venipuncture, specimen receipt, and distribution of laboratory specimens.
• Perform phlebotomy duties as assigned.
• Assist in Microbiology processing and plating specimens, as requested.

Qualifications

• One (1) year of laboratory experience and/or completion of a formal phlebotomy training.
• Completion of Phlebotomy training program and/or national phlebotomy certification through ASCP, ANP, ASPT or similar preferred.
• Phlebotomy Certification where State law requires.
• Basic laboratory computer/lab information system experience preferred.

Pay and Schedule

• Hourly pay is negotiable based on experience. We offer competitive market pay and opportunities for bonus depending on great work performance (bonuses only apply for Full Time).
