Laboratory Assistant Full Time 7on 7off Evening Shift

Education / Experience

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Completion of an approved phlebotomy training program or one year of proven experience in Hospital, Reference, or Physician Office Lab required.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Exceptional customer service skills and proficiency in utilization of personal computer skills.

Working Conditions/Physical Requirements

• Position requires frequent prolonged standing/walking.
• Requires occasional lifting of supplies/equipment up to 25 lbs.
• Continuous need for speaking with clear diction and hearing sensitivity in conversation either by phone or in person.
• Frequent reaching, bending, stooping, kneeling, crouching.
• Continuous ability to see clearly at 20 inches or less, to judge distance and space relationships, to bring objects into focus, and to distinguish and identify different colors.
• Much exposure to computer work.
• Occasional exposure to risk of electrical shock.
• Some exposure to infectious disease while performing job-related tasks.
• Sometimes exposed to hazardous chemicals.
• Some exposure to radiation.
• Travel between facilities as required.
