Lab Assistant I (Full-Time, PMs)

Responsibilities

• Collect blood samples from patients for laboratory testing
• Perform venipuncture and capillary blood draws
• Follow chemical hygiene protocols and handle biohazard materials safely
• Adhere to universal precautions and blood drawing safety device guidelines

Requirements

• Current Phlebotomy Certificate (CPT I) issued by the California Department of Public Health
• Ability to follow instructions and work quickly and accurately in a fast-paced environment
• Basic computer skills
• Awareness of chemical hygiene protocols and biohazard handling requirements
• Organizational and multi-tasking skills
• Ability to fulfill the essential functions of the position

Qualifications

• College science courses
• Previous laboratory experience

Pay

Compensation range: $22.96 - $29.39 per hour, based on applicable experience.

Schedule

• Shift: PMs (afternoons/evenings)
• Shift length: 8 hours
• Days off: Variable
• Hours per pay period: 80
