Job Summary
The Lab Assistant is responsible for various tasks including specimen collection, testing, and administrative duties.
Essential Functions
- Performs positive patient identification
- Limits testing, processing send out specimens, maintaining and receiving supplies
- Greeting and/or checking in patients
- Assists in developing department policies and procedures
- Works under the supervision of the Lab Manager and Lab Supervisors
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Must obtain PBT certification within 2 years of employment
- Certifications required: See Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation Certification Policy and Certifications/Education Requirements Policy
- Minimal phlebotomy training or experience required
