About the role
The Sr. Data Analyst will maximize revenue and drive dynamic pricing strategy across ticketing products and fan segments. Using statistical modeling and machine learning, this role will measure price elasticity, forecast revenue, and predict customer demand. The position collaborates with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and Operations, to deploy scalable data science tooling and optimize sales.
Responsibilities
- Implement and manage dynamic pricing mechanisms to adjust ticket prices in real-time based on factors such as team performance, opponent strength, and event timing.
- Utilize models and data analysis to identify pricing trends, optimize ticket prices, and forecast revenue potential for various seating categories.
- Manage the end-to-end data science lifecycle from model design, development, deployment, maintenance, and updates.
- Provide expertise, analysis, and guidance for promotional campaigns, ensuring alignment with overall pricing strategies.
- Collaborate with business partners to communicate findings and define strategic priorities.
- Partner with the Data Engineering team to structure, validate, and optimize data pipelines and resolve data discrepancies.
- Build and maintain SQL-based views across data warehouses, ensuring suitability for reporting, accuracy, performance, and data integrity.
- Communicate findings and next steps to leadership.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in mathematics, engineering, physics, or related quantitative field.
- 2+ years’ experience as a data scientist, pricing analyst, data analyst, or equivalent role.
- Data Science certification required; master’s degree in data science, statistics, computer science, engineering, economics, analytics, or a related quantitative field preferred.
- Expertise in SQL, statistical programming (Python), and Spark.
- Experience with MLOps workflows and platforms (e.g., Databricks, Azure ML, SageMaker) is preferred.
- Strong statistical knowledge and proven experience developing forecasting, demand prediction, and dynamic pricing models.
- Pragmatic problem-solving mindset and rigorous attention to detail.
Pay
$79,000 - $100,000 annually, with eligibility for a bonus under the current plan.
