About the Role
The Registered Nurse in Labor & Delivery provides compassionate, evidence-based care to women and newborns across all obstetrical stages, following AWHONN standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive maternal and fetal assessments, monitor vital signs, uterine activity, and fetal heart rates.
- Care for high-risk pregnancies, including bedrest and treatments, and support postpartum recovery, pain management, bonding, and breastfeeding.
- Participate in obstetrical emergency responses such as hemorrhage, fetal distress, and hypertensive crises.
Requirements
- BSN preferred from CCNE-accredited schools.
- Maryland Registered Nurse License.
- American Heart Association BLS certification; ACLS & NRP required prior to orientation.
- Minimum of 1 year of L&D nursing experience.
Schedule
The role involves 12-hour night shifts.
