L&D RN - Contract

About the Role

A dedicated Labor & Delivery RN is needed to provide compassionate care to mothers and newborns, overseeing direct patient care and supervising staff to ensure high standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive assessments of patients' physiological, psychosocial, and cognitive status
• Develop and implement care plans in adherence to policies
• Provide patient education and support
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and documentation
• Supervise and delegate patient care activities to staff
• Coordinate staff coverage and manage patient assignments as needed
• Function as a Charge Nurse when required, ensuring safety and policy compliance

Requirements

• At least 1 year of experience in a Labor & Delivery or similar setting
• Current Washington RN licensure
• BLS certification (required)
• NRP, ACLS, and AWHONN’s Intermediate Fetal Monitoring certifications (required within specified timeframes)
