Responsibilities
- Utilize the nursing process to provide appropriate patient care in a cost-effective, quality-driven, and patient-focused manner.
- Collect pertinent social, psychological, developmental, and spiritual data from the patient, significant others, and other healthcare team members.
- Perform ongoing assessments, formulate nursing diagnoses and goals, plan interventions, and evaluate outcomes.
- Consistently document patient and unit records according to health system standards to meet legal and quality patient care requirements.
- Provide appropriate teaching and information to patients and families on topics such as Pain Management, Nutrition, Skin Integrity, Fall Prevention, Diabetes, Disease Process, Smoking Cessation, and Discharge Instructions.
- Demonstrate commitment to the goals and values of the patient, hospital, community, and nursing profession through cost containment, confidentiality, ethical decision-making, and patient safety.
- Use research-substantiated interventions for the patient population, participate in research activities, identify research opportunities, and collaborate with Outcomes Managers and the department.
Requirements
- Associate of Science in Nursing (required).
- At least one (1) year of RN experience (required upon hire) or demonstrated competence in Registered Nurse I performance expectations or meets experience requirements upon hire.
- Registered Nurse license in Texas (required upon hire).
- Basic Life Support – CPR certification (required within 14 days of hire).
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (preferred).

Pay
$42.00 - $42.00 per hour.
