About the role
The Registered Nurse provides direct clinical patient care, including assessing, planning, and implementing care on a shift and unit level. They supervise staff, ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective nursing care, and coordinate patient treatment based on the nursing process.
Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to safety standards, risk management, quality improvement, and infection control protocols.
- Manage patient discharge planning.
- Perform hospital incident command system duties during emergencies.
- Follow hospital policies for emergency codes.
- Provide comprehensive nursing care and support clinical staff competency.
- Manage resources and uphold safety and quality standards.
- Contribute to emergency response and related hospital duties as required.
Requirements
- Graduation from an accredited nursing school.
- Current licensure or certification as a Registered Nurse.
- CPR certification preferred.
- Academic degree in nursing (bachelor's or master's) preferred.
