About the role
The KURTH MEMORIAL LIBRARY seeks an experienced Assistant Library Manager to oversee library operations and support staff.
Responsibilities
- Manage daily library operations including cataloging, circulation, and maintenance.
- Oversee staff training and development programs.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance library services and user satisfaction.
- Collaborate with community partners to promote library resources and events.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Library Science or related field.
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in a library setting.
- Experience with library management software.
- Strong organizational and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of current trends in library technology and services.
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Experience with library management systems.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
