Kubernetes Architect

Location: Remote – US-based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available.

Compensation: $131,300 – $237,350 annually.

This role will lead operational priorities focused on execution quality, efficiency, safety, and measurable performance outcomes. You will collaborate with field leadership, support functions, and cross-functional stakeholders to improve accountability, service delivery, and operational consistency. Responsibilities

• Architect and manage the entire prototype lifecycle from design to documentation.
• Identify material requirements for prototypes including hardware and software.
• Validate thin-line prototypes with Solution Architects and Engineering Leads.
• Serve as a Kubernetes Subject Matter Expert providing architectural guidance.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams for secure platform operations.
• Optimize performance and ensure reliability of Kubernetes deployments.
• Engage in a prototyping environment to develop executable solutions based on customer needs.

Qualifications

• BS degree with 12-13 years of relevant experience or Masters with 10-13 years of relevant experience; Doctorate preferred.
• Active Secret security clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret clearance.
• Deep expertise in enterprise Kubernetes, particularly RKE2 or similar platforms.
• Extensive hands-on experience with Kubernetes architecture and its components.
• Strong understanding of DevSecOps, CI/CD pipelines, and container security best practices.
• Proficient in troubleshooting, performance optimization, and reliability engineering.
• Excellent communication skills to convey complex technical concepts.
