Responsibilities

• Qualified candidates will receive books and products from the publishers comparing the bill of lading to the product delivered and accurately counts and measures product and enters information into the computerized inventory system.
• Under Distribution Operations Manager, directs workers on team to ensure accuracy, productivity, and teamwork; coordinates daily work flow, responds to routine work process questions and resolves issues by resolving thorough appropriate chain of command.
• Able and willing to work or assist in all areas of operation.
• Follow safety rules for self and team, including maintaining a clean and safe work environment, and sets example for the team; corrects and promptly brings safety issues to the attention of management. May be instructed to perform safety observations.
• Ensures the work areas are appropriately maintained and correct any unsafe conditions immediately.
• Demonstrates the ability to lead people and get results though others.
• Develop a positive work environment by demonstrating a positive attitude.
• Ensures shipping, receiving, storage, distribution and production are performed in an efficient manner.
• Leads and participates in routine work assigned to temporary workers.
• Keeps accurate records and prepares reports.
• Load, unload, move, and stack, product and materials using forklift, reach truck or other power equipment.
• Establish and maintain effective working relationships.

Requirements

• Minimum of 3 years of distribution center experience or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• At least 1 year of leadership experience required.
• Must be computer literate.
• Knowledge of warehouse management system and computerized inventory control system preferred.
• Ability to stand and walk up to 10 hours in a day.
• Frequently bend, stoop, reach up and out, crouch, kneel, and push/pull from 36-50 pounds.
• Frequently carry up to 25 pounds and occasionally carry up to 50 pounds.
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift up to 75
